Just found tons of Homestuck line art from brilliant and talented artists here on dA. All of them are free to colour, so I saved a bunch and started! Have I mentioned my love for colouring? I'm decent at drawing (and you guys would totally be able to see that if it weren't for my scanner refusing to work. Seriously). Although my dad just bought a scanner for our family's pharmacy (new rules dictate having scans of all health cards for photo ID when picking up prescriptions), and he said that one Sunday he'll bring it home for me to go on a scanning spree! SO YOU'LL SEE IT SOON.
PAR-TAYYYYYY~ WOOT
Okay, so no one is really all that excited but me, but I've finally got definite access to a working scanner, so now I can stop making journal entries complaining about my lack of a working scanner. I'm excited.
But since I love colouring -- it's seriously my favourite part of the art process -- I'm probably gonna start asking for critique on the stuff I ink in. Mostly because I want to be good at it. Improve, etc. Right now I tend to stick to block colouring, using the burn tool for shadows and the dodge tool for highlights. Pretty simple. But I want to get to a stage where I can make things look shiny and streamlined and pretty, and where I can experiment with colour instead of sticking to basics.
Anyway, there's my updates!
